Artist Statement: It seems to me that all of my formal training, life experiences and quirky views of the light-hearted of life have come together in these hot-air balloon sculptures and ceiling hangings. My love for language as it combines with the visual results in a symbiotic relationship between title and contents of each individual piece. Each aspect of each piece is intentionally placed, whether by color, size, critter, "balloon," basket, charms and unusual . . . stuff. I hope, as you view my artwork, you have a laugh or a smile at, not only the pieces, but how each relates to your own life experience.
