Janet Peterson & Carol Scott
Yard art became Janet Peterson's passion about four years ago. She had just finished rehabbing a bungalow in downtown Napa and the house turned out great but the yard was just so boring. Janet started looking for ideas everywhere she went and then came across a plate flower in her cousin’s yard. Janet was immediately taken with the idea and began creating her own.
"It turned into a backyard business for me and really brought out my creative side."
Eventually met Carol Scott, whom she shares a space with, and loved her whimsical rusty yard art and also her succulent creations. They decided to try their hand at Bay Area craft shows and were immediately hooked!
"We love how our items compliment each other and enjoy a wonderful camaraderie."
Now having added stained glass wheels and windows to her repertoire it keeps it all very interesting for her and she is looking forward to having a permanent showcase in such a wonderful environment at Tews Treasures.

At an early age Carol Scott enjoyed crafting, sewing and making many of her own clothes. Carol has always loved to create and in the late 1980's she began a new business adventure by purchasing Eye Of The Needle at Vintage 1870 in Yountville. It was a fun quilt/needlework shop she owned for about 5 years.
Carol's interests then expanded to gardening, antiques, yard art, beading and beautiful crystals. Carol's sister introduced her to succulents some years ago and the beautiful arrangements she was making with them. That is when she truly fell in love with succulents and the variety in them.
"I put my twist on the arrangements and started planting in old vintage containers which has evolved and become quite a passion."
Carol started selling her unique arrangements at events which led her to Janet Peterson, now friend & business partner. They met at an event they were both selling at and realized how well their creations complimented one other. One thing led to another and they now do a string of Artisan/Craft Shows sharing a booth together.
"It's been a great time the last few years selling what we love to do."
Moving into Tews Treasures has been another great adventure for Carol. In her space you will find unique yard art including succulents, crystal beaded sun catchers, rusty whimsey for hanging in your yard and a splash of vintage/antique yard art & treasures.
